This painting comes from the collection of a Parisian art professor. (He was not the artist, just the holder of this painting) when his estate was gathered a variety of paintings by MR Ahrweiller were found in his collection.

This is a charming oil on board of the church in Bléville painted in 1949 by MR Ahrweiller. This painting is not signed but I have other pieces by him in my own collection, all coming from a Parisian art professor's estate.

This painting features a periwinkle sky, spring trees full of flowering buds, and a garden gate to the grounds of the church. There is a sticker on the back of the board stating the location and I have added a photograph of the church today for reference.

Please note the edges of this board show the normal wear of an item almost 100 years old.
