“Pluie, variable, ou beau?”
Let this charming little instrument whisper the weather forecast the old-fashioned way — in French, of course.

This wall-mounted weather station features both a glass-covered aneroid barometer and a Celsius thermometer framed in rich dark wood with decorative brass rosettes. The dial reads:
PLUIE • VARIABLE • BEAU (Rain • Variable • Fair), along with more detailed forecasts like tempête (storm) and très sec (very dry).

Originally produced in the 1950s–60s, this style of home weather station was a staple in French households — blending practical forecasting with warm, old-world design.

Though its scientific calibration may be outdated, it still responds beautifully to shifts in pressure and makes a stunning objet de curiosité for your entryway, hallway, or conservatory.

Please note the thermometer is cracked but has been adhered into place post photography.
